Andra gånger är faktiskt några få eldsjälar som i det tysta sett till att filmer inte glöms bort för alltid. För att inte behöva gå igenom var och en av den uppsjö av sajter som finns så har jag använt sajten Vodeville , som har tillgång till de flesta av de lagliga filmtjänsternas databaser.

Och resultatet var inte särskilt upplyftande. Av listan på de 50 bästa filmerna genom tiderna från den ansedda brittiska filmtidningen Sight and Sound fanns till exempel bara 17 av de 50 att se på laglig väg. Och även om jag kanske inte är så överraskad över att Murnaus Soluppgång från inte låg ute på någon streamingsajt, så saknas även titlar som de Sicas Cykeltjuven, In the Mood for Love av Wong Kar-Wai, Truffauts De slagen och Bergmans Persona.

Lite bättre såg det ut när jag gick igenom tidskriften FLM:s lista över de 25 bästa svenska filmerna genom tiderna. Lite mer än hälften, 14 av 25 fanns att se.

Men även här saknades många moderna klassiker som Roy Anderssons En kärlekshistoria och Sånger från andra våningen. Här får man även många nya filmer och lokala TV-serier. Innehållet är uppdelat på TV-tablå, filmer, TV-serier, sport, dokumentärer och barn.

Nackdelen är dock att man i dagsläget måste titta på datorn och att prislappen är lite väl hög för de flesta. Sist, men inte minst, tar Viaplay på tredjeplats. Viaplay har två olika abonnemang beroende på om man bara vill ha serier och film eller om man även vill få tillgång till alla sportsändningar.

Till skillnad från övriga tjänster behöver man inte alltid vara uppkopplad, då man kan ladda ner innehåll och titta offline. Tjänsten har mycket skandinaviskt innehåll och nya filmer, samt att man får tillgång till tjänsten via många olika enheter. Tyvärr finns inte lika många bra, äldre filmer eller amerikanska serier.

Viaplay är den enda egentliga konkurrenten till dominerande Netflix, så beroende på smak kan Viaplay ändå vara ett bättre val för många. Numera kan man betala en fast summa varje månad och sedan kan man titta på hur mycket film och serier som man vill. Viasat har gjort sig ett namn som bolaget med det stora filmutbudet på TV. När de nu erbjuder strömmande video ligger de därför bra till, eftersom de redan har nödvändiga kontakter på plats.

Detta gör att man faktiskt får lite nyare filmer i listan. Webbplatsen känns lite rörig, men när man väl insett hur den hänger ihop går det hyggligt snabbt att navigera runt.

Själva strömmandet fungerar hyggligt, men kvaliteten är inte alltid på topp och det händer titt som tätt att bilden släpar efter.
